Abstract
This paper investigates the input-to-state stability for a class of nonlinear switched systems. First, a new average dwell time (ADT) method is established for the stability of such systems, which have some advantages over the previous method. Secondly, based on the ADT method several new results to the stability analysis are obtained. In comparison with the previous results, not only the main results in this paper are concise, but also the obtained average dwell time is smaller than that obtained by other methods. Finally, an illustrative example is studied to show the correctness and validity of our results.
