  • Abstract
    It´s a fundamental target for reservoir to obtain more water available and greater economic benefits on the premise of ensuring flood safety. However, there is no unified standard for assessing the effect and benefit of floodwater resources utilization at present. This paper studied these problems and proposed a series of indices and methods for assessing the effect of floodwater resources utilization. Furthermore, the flood “20050820” of Ankang reservoir was taken for example on which forecast operation was adopted on the premise of ensuring flood safety. The result showed that the ratio of abandoning water was 33.6% by normal operation and fell to 29.2% by forecast operation, moreover, improving rate of floodwater resource utilization was about 4.5% and all flood stored in reservoir was used completely by generation output and so on.
