  • Abstract
    We use an optimisation technique based upon genetic algorithms to design a PIFA with the largest bandwidth and the lowest VSWR at 2 GHz. During the optimisation process the different antenna models are evaluated to determine their performance. using an engine developed by the authors, based upon the finite-difference time domain (FDTD) method.
