Abstract :
This paper investigates the problem of designing time-varying dynamic output feedback controller for master-slave synchronization of a general class of chaotic systems. The time-varying delay is assumed to have a lower bound and an upper bound, which is more general than those assumptions used in the literature. Based on the Lyapunov-Krasovskii approach, a novel synchronization criterion is first obtained and formulated in the form of an linear matrix inequality (LMI). Then, a sufficient condition on the existence of a time-varying dynamic output feedback controller is derived by employing the newly-obtained synchronization criterion. The controller gains can be achieved by solving an LMI. Finally, Chua´s circuit is given to illustrate the effectiveness of the designed method.
