Abstract :
Owing to the checkout difficulty of relay setting value by actual power system malfunction, the simulation system of relaying protection setting is developed. Using the advantages of logical judgment method and setting value comparison method, based on fault current calculation and intelligent searching, a simplified relay protection setting simulation and check method is put forward. Therefore, a visual relay protection setting simulation system is developed using computer visualization and database technology. The simulation system realizes the check of relay protection setting value and the trip-out simulation with good graph operation and data management function. The test run result shows the availability of the algorithm and the practical application worthiness of the simulation system.
