  • Abstract
    In recent years, power system has experienced a period of rapid change and power grid becomes more and more complex. For electric power grid security, a great number of Phasor Measurement Units (PMU) has been installed in important transformer substation and power plant in China. Application of PMU data in power control centre has received extensive attention in China. In this paper, the development and current situation of PMU application in power control centre are reviewed, and main features are submitted. With the development of smart grid and the construction of smart grid operating support system, the future develop of the application of PMU data in power control centre are presented. Finally, taking into account the practical work of EMS advanced application software has made an outstanding results, this paper presents some idea about the practical work of PMU application software.
