  • Abstract
Optimal allocation of a watershed land resources, an important part of comprehensive management in the small watershed, is a reasonable planning of renewable natural resources, with the land resources being emphasized. In this paper, linear programming methods are used to optimize the allocation of land areas respectively for terracing, planting economic fruit trees, natural forest and grass land in the watershed; In order to optimally locate the different lands in the appropriate place, spatial analysis of ARCGIS is also applied, with the topography, geomorphology, slope and present land use as the constrained conditions. The results provide directions to the management and development in watersheds. Water and land resources in a watershed should be protected and reformed as the land and water resources in it are reasonably used. The maximum of whole function of Eco-economic system could then be obtained. Finally, a case study is shown in a watershed in Shangnan County Shaanxi Province to realize the spatial optimal allocation land resources in the watershed.
