  • Abstract
    Substation modeling and system equivalent analysis with MW PV connections is important for feeder protection setting in tie line to distribution system. Small capacity PV substation in power system analysis was considered as the load, but it is not right to the MW PV substation due to so many bulk capacities. In response to this question, the dynamic modeling and system equivalent of MW PV substation is researched. The key of the PV modeling is to consider the dynamic behavior of power electronic circuit, and the dynamic system equivalent equation is described. The work of the paper is valued to the research on the novel feeder protection and control scheme design in distribution system with DGs.
