Abstract :
A new congestion driven placement algorithm for a standard cell is presented. It estimates routing congestion with a new improved bounding box model and uses a net-centric technique. to solve the local regional routing problem. Experimental results show that the algorithm minimizes routing congestion dramatically and increases wire length slightly.
