  • Abstract
    Design and experimental results of a dual-aperture coupled rectangular microstrip patch antenna element, suitable for portable VSAT terminals, are presented. The dual-band dual-polarised antenna element achieves 21% input impedance bandwidth at S- and C-bands. Design of planar 1/spl times/4-element and 7/spl times/7-element 30 dB sidelobe arrays with such an antenna element are also presented.
