Abstract
A /spl plusmn/45/spl deg/ slanted dual-polarized diversity microstrip antenna for IMT-2000 base-stations has been designed and fabricated. The measured 15 dB return loss bandwidth is 24.8 % (port 1) and 20.5 % (port 2). Isolation of more than 25 dB is also obtained. For the frequency range of IMT-2000 bandwidth, gain is about 13 dBi, and measured SLL for each port is about 15 dB and 16 dB. The overall size of the array antenna is about 160/spl times/500/spl times/45 mm (compact). The simulated and measured characteristics meet the specified requirements.
