Abstract
In this paper, three kinds of experiments about influencing factors of ammonia nitrogen in water were done, which aimed to choose the most suitable condition for determining the ammonia nitrogen. The blank experiments illustrated different experiment water used for confecting reagents or doing blank experiments had no influence on the blank value. The potassium sodium tartrate solution boiled had very significant influence on the blank value. In the comparative experiments, the ammonia nitrogen concentrations determined directly by colorimetry were similar to the results determined after distilled, but different from the flocculated results. The third group experiments proved that different dosages of sodium hydroxide for neutralizing boracic acid after samples were distilled had certain influences on the results.
