Abstract
The explosion of mobile telephony has induced growing concern about possible biological effects due to electromagnetic field emitted by the handsets. We have conducted a time domain study, which analysed the variation of the power emitted by a handset in a network and an analysis of the spatial distribution of the absorbed power which is strongly related to the technical characteristics of the phones. The statistical tools and the neural network approach allow the construction of classes of phones with respect to the power distribution in the head.
