Abstract :
In a hybrid renewable power system, the use of a multiple-input dc/dc converter (MIC) leads to simpler circuit and lower cost, compared with the conventional use of several single input converters. This paper focuses on the optimizing design of dual-input DC /DC converter. Different to single-input DC/DC converters, the parameters design of MIC is very complicated. This is because a MIC will operate in multiple operation modes, in which the power sources can deliver power to the load either simultaneously or individually. Considering the multiple operation modes simultaneously, an optimizing design method of MIC is proposed. A dual-input full-bridge converter is taken as an example to show the design method, and a prototype is built to verify the theoretical analysis.
