Abstract :
This paper describes the design and development of low profile antenna at 470 MHz. The proposed antenna is in folded PIFA configuration. The antenna has a total dimension of 80mm×80mm×10mm and has been optimized at 470 MHZ in UHF band. The antenna has hemispherical pattern coverage. Measured results are very close to simulated ones. This antenna is suitable for helmet mounted communication system.
