Abstract :
This paper discusses a recent iterative equalisation technique called “turbo equalisation”. We specifically aim to develop a general model for a coded interleaved transmission system with a channel with memory. We show the general detection/decoding procedure before elaborating on a new alternative interference canceler-based method to reduce complexity. We use examples from DS/CDMA, and ISI channels to show performance under various situations
