Abstract
The asymptotic strip boundary condition (ASBC) is used in the series solution of a dielectric sphere loaded with periodic conducting strips with period P approaching zero. The solution is obtained for a conducting sphere coated with dielectric materials loaded with periodic conducting strips. The strips are directed in the /spl theta/-direction or /spl phi/-direction. A plane wave incident in the direction of the z-axis is considered to have one azimuthal mode solution.
