Abstract :
Load rebalancing offered by proper reactive power management, employing the thyristor controlled reactor, fixed capacitor (FC-TCR) technique is discussed. By means of the static VAr compensator, three objectives can be simultaneously achieved: voltage regulation, power factor improvement, and load rebalancing. An electric system model is presented, and computer simulation results are discussed
