  • Abstract
    Because the buses inside HV switchgear cabinet are under high voltage condition, the very high voltage between the contacts of high-voltage switch or between high-voltage buses makes the direct measurement of its temperature a very difficult problem which has not been solved in practice so far. For these reasons, a method to measure the temperature of the bus-bar for switchgear cabinet on-line monitoring system is presented based on the AT89C51 as the key part of the control, using the PTR4000 wireless module to realize the wireless communication and adopting single wire digital thermometer DS18B20 to measure temperature of the buses. Hardware and software of the system are described in this paper.
