Abstract :
In this paper, a method called Adsorption-Biological Contact Oxidation was used to deal with the sulfide wastewater. The process contains two stages, and each stage plays a different role in the removal of the pollutants. The first stage is called adsorption, and the second is biological contact oxidation. After adsorption, the organic pollutants will be oxidized by the aerobic microbe. The results indicate that the process already has good effect on the removal of COD, NH3 - N and S2-. When the influent concentration of COD, S2- and NH3-N is respective 1039.13 mg/L, 26.63 mg/L and 180.36 mg/L, the effluent concentration of COD is below 100 mg/L, the effluent concentration of S2- is lower than 2 mg/L, and the effluent concentration of NH3-N is below 10 mg/L. The removal rate of COD, S2- and NH3-N is respective 93.96%, 99% and 60%.
