Abstract :
Lithium-ion battery packs are more prevalent in transportation applications. These batteries are typically characterized by their higher energy density and reduced need for maintenance. This paper will show how the intelligence needed for safe operation and long life of an electric vehicle´s lithium-ion battery pack can be leveraged to provide a complete logistics solution that allows a fleet operator to accurately monitor true operations and maintenance costs.
