Abstract :
The transient behaviour of a thin wire buried in the earth and excited by an incident field is analyzed. The problem is formulated directly in the time domain via the space-time Hallen integral equation. The Hallen integral equation is solved by the time domain Galerkin-Bubnov boundary element procedure and the transient response of the buried wire illuminated by the electromagnetic pulse (EMP) is obtained.
