Abstract :
This paper presents a simple structure for speed control scheme of synchronous reluctance motor using fuzzy-logic. The controller is based on the indirect vector control technique. The complete control scheme including the simple fuzzy controller is experimentally implemented using a digital signal processor board for a laboratory 1/3 hp synchronous reluctance motor. The performances of the proposed fuzzy-logic controller are investigated both theoretically and experimentally at different dynamic operating conditions. It is found that the proposed fuzzy-logic controller is robust and suitable to replace the classical linear controller for high performance synchronous reluctance motor drive.
