Abstract
In this paper, we proposes an improved preceding- assisted blind channel estimation scheme for single-input single- output (SISO) orthogonal frequency-division multiplexing (OFDM) systems. In the proposed scheme, a modified autocorrelation matrix is obtained by dividing the autocorrelation matrix of the received signal vector by the precoding matrix element-wise. The channel vector is estimated as a principal eigenvector of the modified autocorrelation matrix, and it is simply obtained by the computationally simple power method without the need of the complicated eigenvalue decomposition. Simulation results show that the normalized mean square error of the proposed scheme is much lower than that of the conventional preceding-assisted blind channel estimation scheme.
