Abstract :
It is well known that unstable zeros limit the performance that can be achieved. This paper investigates the stability of zeros of a discrete-time system discretised by the use of Generalized Sampled-data Hold Function (GSHF). It is shown that the sampling zeros can be placed inside the unit circle in the case of Generalized Sampled-data Hold Function (GSHF) for the continuous-time systems, when the sampling period T tends to zero. We further propose a hold design that places the sampling zeros asymptotically to the origin for fast sampling rates, and the minimum number of segments in the case of PC GSHF is given. Finally the simulation proves the validity of the method.
