Abstract :
Summary form only given, as follows. In a previous paper an equation for the poloidal magnetic field around a tokamak surface was described (see Martin and Haines, Phys. Plasmas, vol.5, p.410 (1998)). We analyze the effect of triangularity and ellipticity on the poloidal field. An expansion in the triangularity parameter is carried out and compared with the case when no triangularity is present. Numerical computations for different values of the ellipticity and triangularity have been also performed.
