Abstract :
In this paper we propose modifications in the least-squares despread respread multitarget array (LS-DRMTA) and recursive least-squares (RLS) algorithms, in order to improve the performance of adaptive arrays in the presence of multipath. It is shown from simulation that the radiation patterns formed with MLS-DRMTA and MRLS point beams toward the directions of all the desired signal arriving multipaths, while those formed with LS-DRMTA and RLS point only a main beam in the direction of the multipath which is synchronized with the receiver. Thus the new algorithms are indicated to perform coherent combination of multipath.
