Abstract :
Katsevich proposed the first theoretically exact reconstruction formula for the spiral cone-beam CT. In this paper, the transaction level modeling of the architecture of a hardware backprojector is proposed using SystemC. Accompanied with this, architecture exploration and performance analysis are performed on the timing model. Finally, with certain case studies, we come to a conclusion that nearly 3 times of speedup can be achieved by doubling the size of the on-chip memory.
