Abstract :
A high-order method of moment (HO-MoM) that is as efficient as a Nystrom solution method is introduced. In this scheme, both the testing and the basis functions are expanded into a set of smooth basis distributed over the scattering surface. However, through a simple transformation, the outer integration is eliminated resulting in a point-based form of the integral equation. Specifically, the integral equation is simply sampled at discrete quadrature abscissa points. It is demonstrated that this technique provides true high-order convergence for the current and RCS of canonical geometries.
