Abstract :
In motorization field, the mechatronic actuators are widely used. They are especially employed to control the air flow circulating in the diesel engine such that the motor performance is ameliorated (improving its efficiency with decreasing the GHG emissions). As a rule, the industrialists do not have an exact analytical models for this actuators class. They often use the lookup table techniques to simulate their dynamics. Therefore, this work deals with the physical modeling of such actuator. This has a nonlinear behavior due essentially to friction forces. Thus, this paper presents firstly a brief outline of the friction characteristics and models. Then, it introduces a modeling and identification procedure for mechatronic actuators.
