Abstract :
It was found that iron ore tailings could be mixed with cement and fly ash at appropriate ratios to make concrete products that possess certain compressive and flexural strengths. Based on such findings, several additives have been studied to improve the properties of the concrete products. Of these, the additive FN significantly improved the early age strength of the products while positively impacting the final strength when used at a low dosage. This was attributed to the improved hydration properties and formability of the products when FN was used.
