Abstract :
A method based on manipulation of mean values of state space variables and input signals is described. A DC motor is chosen as the plant. For this plant, an algorithm is developed which computes the system parameters from the measured mean armature current and voltage, and speed. Depending on the computer parameters, a method of controller design (pole assignment methods) can be selected and an adaptive controller constructed. Estimation algorithms for an open and for a closed control loop are described.<>
