Abstract
A new approach is presented for determining, from a single frequency measurement of the radiated (near- or far-) field, the convex region including a system of sources of scatterers. The technique exploits the local field bandwidth concept and the sliding window transform of the field to estimate the minimum angular sector which includes the sources as viewed from a given observation point. The envelope is obtained by processing all observation points.
