Abstract :
An investigation of the changes in spinal shape associated with subjects lying in supine positions on various sleepware was conducted. A sonic echoing device is used to measure the changes in the spinal shape. A secondary device was used to verify the accuracy of the measured spinal shapes. A strain gaged instrumentated metal strip and electromyogram (EMG) probes were used to collect the data. Presented are the procedure and data correlation derived from this study
