Abstract :
To reduce the computational load of motion estimation, we propose a method of achieving higher accuracy compared to the existing low-bit based methods by calculating the 4-level absolute difference between two 2-bit images through the use of combinational logic circuit instead of absolute difference operation with the arithmetic-logic unit.
