Abstract :
In order to monitor and evaluate the water quality of Weihe river in Xi´an using remote sense, we used the multi - spectral remotely sensed images and the water monitoring data to establish a linear inversion model of the concentration of chlorophyll-a based on the remote sensing image, and to evaluate the water quality preliminary trough the single index evaluation method. The result showed that: More than 94% section of Weihe river basin in Xi´an was in the moderate and severe eutrophication, in which more than 55% area was in severe eutrophication in August. The research has a breakthrough in the method of water quality monitoring. Multi-spectral remote sensing had been used to monitor the concentration of chlorophyll-a in the river, which made the monitoring and evaluation of eutrophication more convenient and faster. Therefore, corresponding measures will be taken to restrain a further deterioration in the region.
