Abstract :
A design procedure for a dual offset reflector antenna with a parabolic main reflector and a shaped subreflector is presented. The design procedure is a combination of physical optics analysis and an optimization technique to shape the subreflector for maximum gain in the boresight direction. The configuration is explored by using the FSS specifications for satellite ground station antennas.
