Abstract :
Antennas are essential components of EMC applications. Selecting the right antenna for a given application might be a tedious task. In many practical cases, the right antenna is simply not available, too expensive to acquire or not accessible in a time frame required by the project. In these circumstances an engineer needs to improvise by designing and implementing simple and inexpensive antennas in a short amount of time. This paper introduces easy methodologies to understand such simple antennas, fabricate and validate them.
