Abstract :
In this study, High Impedance Surface (HIS) structures are used to reduce the interaction between a wireless antenna and its user. Especially, T-Slot HIS structure is designed for 1.8-GHz-band wireless products. The performance of HIS is investigated by the reflection phase method. The new test method is also proposed to verify the performance of HIS by using Arch method. In the experiment, the high performance of T-Slot HIS added monopole antenna and other electromagnetic protective sheets is evaluated and verified in view of radiation pattern, Total Radiated Power (TRP), and Specific Absorption Rate (SAR).
