Abstract :
This paper investigates the stabilization and adaptive H∞ control of a class of nonlinear Hamiltonian descriptor systems. Based on the structural characteristic of the nonlinear Hamiltonian descriptor system, a dissipative Hamiltonian descriptor system is obtained by a suitable state feedback. And then, the dissipative form is transformed into an equivalent dissipative Hamiltonian differential-algebraic system by using restricted system equivalent method. With the equivalent differential-algebraic system, the stabilization problem is discussed for the nonlinear Hamiltonian descriptor system, and an adaptive H∞ control law is designed for the system.
