Abstract :
Through use of a mechanical model of a carotid artery, a method of early detection of carotid artery stenoses is sought. Doppler imaging and ultrasound are used to evaluate properties of blood flow through carotid artery stenoses of various degrees of severity in order to identify risk factors.
