Abstract :
This paper presents an improved autoregressive (AR) prewhitening method for linear frequency modulation (LFM) reverberation in shallow sea to enhance the target signal. This method transforms the linear varying frequency in LFM reverberation to stationary frequency components using frequency focusing transformation, the local stationarity of reverberation is enhanced, and the prewhitening performance of AR model is improved. Finally, experiments with real reverberation data verify that the proposed method improves the statistical detection probability of matched filter and GLRT detector by 6% and 11% respectively.
