Abstract :
In this paper, synchronous code division multiple access (S/CDMA) for the fiber-optic local area network (LAN) with interference cancellation schemes is investigated. We design the receiver structure for the S/CDMA with modified prime sequence codes, and the performance improvement through the employment of interference cancellation schemes is estimated. The results show that by using this scheme in the fiber-optic S/CDMA network, when shot noise and thermal noise are negligible, the influence of interference can be eliminated, and error free communications can also be achieved
