Abstract :
This paper presents a new method of modeling and simulation for relay protection by using a DEVS-based toolkit named CD++. With this toolkit, the modeling of relay will be more easy and straightforward. We takes the digital three zones distances protection as the example, studies the approach of ideal protection relay modeling, and also validate the validity and feasibility of the model through analysis.
