Abstract :
The need to adopt more environmentally responsible manufacturing practices in response to both public opinion and existing and forthcoming legislation is forcing industry to make major changes in the way it produces its products and offers its services. This is evident in the electronics industry and especially so in the printed circuit board (PCB) manufacturing sector. In this paper, the impact of environmental issues on the electronics industry in the United Kingdom is reviewed
