Abstract :
Traditional password based cryptographic system is facing many challenges with the development of computer and Internet in human society. By combining biometrics and cryptography, Biometric encryption has drawn great attention in the field of information security. In the paper, we propose a new framework of fingerprint based Biometric encryption. We adopt Gabor filter-bank to extract fingerprint features, which are length fixed and comprise both local and global information, and a binary key is bound with the filter-bank based fingerprint features by traditional cryptographic algorithm, such AES and DES ect. Finally, we evaluate our algorithm on FVC database and the experiment results show that the performance of the algorithm is satisfied.
