Abstract :
The paper presents a field oriented control scheme for an induction motor using a Motorola 56001 digital signal processor. A direct stator flux orientation (DSFO) scheme, pulse width modulation circuit and inverter power module have been implemented in this control system. The operating points which are helpful in setting up closed-loop operation of DSFO for the field oriented control of an induction motor have been identified based upon open loop test results
