Abstract :
An instrument that is used to evaluate wrist joints dynamics quantitatively during active and passive motion is described. The test instrument consists of a computer controlled DC servo motor; torque, displacement, and other sensors; signal conditioning electronics; and a data acquisition and analysis system. The instrument is being used in conjunction with clinical tests to develop a biomechanical model of the spastic hypertonic response to passive motion in children with cerebral palsy
