Abstract :
A dual microwave photonic phase shifter with continuous control and multiband characteristic is presented in this paper. The microwave phase control is achieved by varying the orientation of the lightwave polarization coupled into a polarization maintaining fiber (PMF). It explores the fiber birefringence to control the phase of the microwave signal at the output of two PMF analog optical link on a range of 180°. The concept and the analytical model are presented, as well as experimental results.
