Abstract
ATP-EMTP simulation program is applied to simulate and analyze the lightning invasion wave performance of 35 kV substation in this paper. The results show that some factors of incoming lines and the riding position of lightning arrester in substation have a remarkable influence on invasion wave overvoltage of substation equipments. Based on the analysis and computation, the optimal parameters of the overvoltage protection are suggested.
